With so many camps being offered in Greater Cincinnati, Mason, Ohio, Deerfield Township, West Chester and more, you should be able to find a camp perfect for your kids. Many art organizations, nature centers, parks, community centers, residential/day camps and more offer fabulous summer camps. There will be something to interest everyone. We've compiled a sampling of some local camps to help you on your quest.

Learn how to juggle, balance on the rolling globe and learn the basics of creating a clown character. Camp Carnegie is a wonderful summer theatre camp. My girls have gone for two summers (it is worth the drive from Mason). "Camp Carnegie includes live performance, hands-on art making, character and costume design, dramatic exercises, writing, brainstorming, team building, problem solving and a great deal of fun." Sessions are in June & July (am & pm sessions). Campers bring a snack.

MAD Camp - Christ's Church Mason

MAD Camp at Christ's Church in Mason will be coming this summer (grades 1-6th and older students can volunteer to help). “MAD” stands for Music, Art and Drama and it’s a week designed for your kids to experience workshops and instruction about a variety of different creative arts. The camp curriculum is designed around 3 specific age groups based on the grade your child will be entering in the fall of 2014. There will also be a designed curriculum for Arms Wide Open children. Arms Wide Open is our special needs ministry here at CCM.

LEAP Ahead Summer Tutoring begins in June through August. Includes 7th Grade through College Bound Instruction that can focus on specific subject areas or skill sets including reading, writing and math. Also offering support for summer school classes or distance learning, OGT and more.
AUGUST ENRICHMENT WEEK - occurs every August and is a great way to kick-off the school year. Classes meet daily, Monday through Friday, at Hope Church in Mason. Prices vary by class. Class size is limited.
Ohio Writing Project - Youth Writing Camp

Youth Writing CampSponsored by the Ohio Writing Project at Miami University. This camp will provide young writers with exciting, active, and cooperative experiences that will enhance and improve their writing skills while sparking their creativity. The week-long camp is facilitated by OWP–trained classroom teachers and local authors.

Register early, as there are only 12 spaces available in each camp.
