Acting Up
Shows held at Mason Middle School or Mason High School
Acting Up is a volunteer young performers community theater group based in Mason, Ohio. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, formed in March of 2005.
Mission: Acting Up was founded to provide experiences in all aspects of the theatre arts to young people in our area communities. We rely on volunteerism and are committed to providing the community not only with an exceptional finished theatrical product, but a fulfilling, educational and fun process. All participants are viewed as integral to the process and family involvement is welcomed and encouraged.
Calico Children's Theatre

Calico Children's Theatre has the Yellow Bus Series which is a theatre performances to school children. Shows are held at the Krueger Auditorium on the UC Clermont campus. Their summer 2017 theatre camp has been cancelled for this season. Check back to see if it will return in 2018.

High school acting studio offering year round educational workshop productions, summer seminars, and summer series.

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park

In addition to their theatre performances held onsite, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park offers "Off the Hill" touring plays. These traveling plays go to local schools, community centers and art centers. Acting classes, summer camps, and school programs are also available.

Performing Arts, Inc. is a great first foray into acting and musical theatre. They have a variety of locations (Sharonville Fine Arts Center, Anderson Twp., Harrison, Northern KY, West Chester and more). Incorporates singing, dancing and acting into their shows.
The Children's Theatre of Mason

"The mission of The Children's Theatre of Mason, Inc. (CTM), a 501(c)3 organization, is to expose children to all aspects of theatrical production and help them develop an appreciation for the performing arts. CTM produces two large scale productions each season and offers children the opportunity to take part onstage as performers and off stage as crew members, set builders, make-up assistants and many other behind-the-scenes roles." Lots of science fun is happening at the Museum of Natural History & Science at the CMC. Check out their Lite Lab, or bring some of nature's treasures to Nature's Trading Post. Of course no visit would be complete without journeying through the "cave" or taking a walk through the Ice Age. And seeing some large Dinosaurs is always a highlight for my kids. Check out my suggestions on the CMC website for "A Family Science Expedition" and join in the fun.
