Cincinnati Dinner Train

The Cincinnati Dinner Train leaves the station every Saturday during the year. This is the day they are open to the public. There are three vintage dining cards. They also offer group charters (Sun-Fri). 

Cincinnati Museum Center - Cincinnati in Motion

1301 Western Ave. Cincinnati, Ohio 45203

The Cincinnati History Museum is home to Cincinnati in Motion. Here you can see a mini replica of the city of Cincinnati from 1900 to the 1940s. There are mini trains in this exhibit as well. Cincinnati Museum Center is currently undergoing rennovations so some of the display is currently in storage during the restoration process. 

Cincinnati Museum Center - Tower A

1301 Western Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio

Tower A is home of the original control tower for Union Terminal. This place would have been busy. The public is welcome to tour the control tower. You can get a great view of the still working train yard below. Be aware that you do have to climb some stairs to be able to access the tower. Call Cincinnati Museum Center prior to visiting since they are currently undergoing rennovartions and Tower A may not be accessible until after the rennovations. 

Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens - BB&T Express Train Ride

If you visit the Cincinnati Zoo, it's always fun to take a ride on the BB&T Express. You'll get a great overview of the Zoo as you ride. Great for kids of all ages.  Additional fee applies to ride the train. 

EnterTRAINment Junction

This place is all about trains. It is a really fun way to spend a day with the family. Miniature train displays are featured in the Train Journey. There is also the Great Train Expo Center that changes displays and what they are working on throughout the year. Sometimes they have free events here. 

Great Parks - Highfield Discovery Garden/Glenwood Gardens

10397 Springfield Pike, Cincinnati, Ohio 45215

Visiting Highfield Discovery Garden is magical for kids. Beyond the 25 ft interactive Discovery Tree, there are nature programs, gardens and fun displays. There are also 4 miniature trains that ride through the Trolley Garden. There is a small fee to visit the Highfield Discovery Garden. 

Lebanon Mason & Monroe Railroad (LM&M)

127 South Mechanic, Lebanon, Ohio 45035 - (513) 933-8022

Loated in historic Lebanon, Ohio, is the LM&M railroad. They have weekend and weekday train rides during the year as well as special event train rides such as Easter Bunny Express, Date Night, Curious George Express, Super Why Limited, Fireworks Train, Murder Mystery Train, North Pole Express and more. 

The Railway Museum of Greater Cincinnati

315 W. Southern Ave., Covington, KY -

The Railway Museum of Greater Cincinnati is open every Saturday during thre year (10 a.m. - 4 p.m., weather dependent). There is a small admission fee charged and this is a self-guided tour of the outdoor museum.  

Totter's Otterville

Totter's Otterville is a fun educational play place for kids. They have an outdoor trolley ride (weather permitting, closed Nov-March). 

Whitewater Valley Railroad

Connersville, IN 47331 - (765) 825-2054

Hop aboard Whitewater Valley Railroad for a fun train excursion. They offer a wide variety of different train excursions.

Behringer-Crawford Museum

BCM's Holiday Toy Trains will roll into the station in November (Nov. 12, 2016 - Jan. 8, 2017). 

Holiday Junction at Cincinnati Museum Center

1301 Western Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45203

The Duke Energy trains go on display at Cincinnati Museum Center. Stay tuned for more info since Cincinnati Museum Center currently has some displays closed while they undergo rennovations.

Duke Energy customers can get ticket vouchers for free admission to the show. 

PNC Festival of Lights - Cincinnati Zoo

The PNC Festival of Lights is one of our "must-do's" every holiday season. Seeing the Zoo come alive in festive lights is a real treat. The train is also open for rides (additional fee applies to ride) and it is fun to be bundled up while enjoying a brisk ride on the train.

Kings Island - Miami Valley Railroad

Kings Island Drive, Mason, Ohio 45040

Hop aboard an "authentic steam powered" train. Board at Rivertown and Soak City at Kings Island. Included with admission to the park. 

Krohn Conservatory

Every holiday season the Krohn Conservatory transforms with beautiful twinkling lights and seasonal holiday displays. A miniature train is always a part of their holiday show.
