Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati Presents Cinderella After Ever After
One holiday tradition that we love is visiting the Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati the day after Thanksgiving to get a sneak preview of their upcoming holiday show. This year they are doing a sequel to their updated version of Cinderella. We get to find out what happens to Cinderella and Prince Charming "after ever after". The amazing writer, Joseph McDonough, lyricist, David Kisor and composer, Fitz Patton have cleverly crafted another hilarious and engaging show. Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnnati transports you to a magical kingdom where a toad, a crow and a spider replace the sweet mice you may have remembered. Instead of a fairy god-mother we now have Gwendolyn, the well-wisher (Kate Wilford), and the evil step mother, Brunhilda (Deb G. Girdler), who isn't quite so evil along with King Frederick (Michael G. Bath) who needs to reign in his cheapskate ways. Cinderella (Brooke Steele) and Prince Freddy (Patrick E. Philips) will win your hearts as they try to navigate planning their engagement party. Their quirky personalities, and the spirited and funny step-sisters, Priscilla (Sara Mackie) and Clarissa (Torie Wiggins), will make you smile and laugh out loud.
Meeting Socrates the Spider (Samantha Russell), Aristotle the Crow (Maya Farhat), & Prince Freddy (Patrick E. Philips).
"This sequel to last year's runaway hit continues the story about what happens following “happily ever after.” What happens when Prince Freddy and Cinderella move into the palace with her diva stepmother and her fabulously self-absorbed stepsisters in tow? Change can be hard, and when Gwendolyn The Well Wisher tries to bring peace to the royal kingdom, she inadvertently sets off a series of chaotic events." (from Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati
