Giveaway & Good Eats at the Rusty Bucket Liberty Center
I’ve visited the Rusty Bucket at Liberty Center a few times, but after attending a blogger tasting event, I learned some new things. Even though Rusty Bucket is a chain restaurant, almost everything they do is 100% by scratch. What this means is that if you order a cocktail and it needs some lemon juice that they will actually press a real lemon or if your drink has a puree then they will crush the berries instead of using a pre-made mix. If you have a special request for their kitchen, they will do their best to accommodate you. They are very cognizant of allergies and even have a gluten free menu available on request. Their food is made fresh every day, from their delicious Hummus dip served with marinated cucumber and tomato salad to their delectable bread pudding (a must try for your sweet tooth).
I really had fun at this event. How can you not? Enjoying sips of different specialty cocktails created right before your eyes is inspiring. We sampled the Pink Gin Fizz and the Blueberry Bella. They also have a great selection of craft beers and imports.
I’ll never look at a dill pickle the same way. They deep fry these and they are delectable bites of yum. Their Spinach Con Queso is addictive. Try your best to just eat one bite. Made fresh every morning, the Spinach Con Queso is a great appetizer to share. If you love wings, these are some of the best I've tried with the right amount of crispness on the outside. Be sure to get an order of Joe's Regular. One thing I like about Rusty Bucket is their happy hour specials. During happy hour, all of their delicious appetizers are half price in the bar area and all their cocktails, wine and beer are also $1 off. Make sure you ask for the Juicy Lucy burger. It is only $5 and the burger is seasoned to perfection and every bite tastes so good.

Asian Tuna Wrap - refreshing and light
Normally, I try to stay away from dessert but I could not resist when two of my favorites appeared on the table. A warm chocolate cake topped with caramel and creamy vanilla ice cream and bread pudding infused with candied pecans and paired with vanilla ice cream. I. HAVE. NO. WILLPOWER. Luckily I was sharing the deserts so portion control was automatically built in.
Sticky Bun Bread Pudding - I want to eat this again.
A few other things I learned:
Rusty Bucket has a private dining area (room for up to 20) that you can reserve for no cost. Reservations can be made in advance. I love that you can host a group without a charge for the room.
Rusty Bucket loves having families. They have great kids meals (range from $4.99-$5.49 and includes a side and a drink). Plus RB has a reading program called Bucketeer Bookworms . If your child reads 5 books, fills out the back of the bookmark and has a parent sign it, then they get a FREE kids meal.
They have great servers and so if you have a special request just ask.
Happy hour is M-F from 3-6 p.m. ½ price appetizers and ½ off drinks. Also the Juicy Lucy burger is only offered on the bar menu but if you ask for it, they will get if for you.
If you love a cocktail or a recipe, they will share their recipes with you. Just ask your server.
