Win tickets to see Edible Landscape at the Krohn Conservatory (CLOSED)
One of Cincinnati's treasures is the Krohn Conservatory. We recently visited during their annual butterfly show and throughly enjoyed all of the beautiful flowers, plants and butterflies flitting about. They always put together some amazing shows and this summer they are showcasing Edible Landscape through August 24.
"The 2014 Summer Show at the Krohn Conservatory features a landscape filled with summer annuals and edible plants.Included among the plants are fruits and vegetables, edible trees and shrubs, and new, top rated plants from All America Selections.The show demonstrates how a carefully planned landscape design can create a residential garden that is both attractive and productive. The show designer is Josh Hill, horticulturist at Krohn Conservatory." (from CincinnatiParks.com)
The Krohn Conservatory is also hosting some interactive programs in conjunction with the Summer Show. All ages are welcome to learn more about the "garden to table" movement. In July they will feature "Urban Gardening" and "Tower to Table" workshops. In August, “Family Food Camps” will be held every Saturday where a weekly new food experience can be enjoyed! Edible Landscape is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM until 5 PM, closed Mondays. Admission is $4 adults, $2 children, with 4 and under free. Get $1 off adult admission coupon on eReach.com.
