Win tickets to see Acting Up's "Once Upon a Mattress" (CLOSED)
Acting Up is putting on another entertaining and fun show. Tickets are now available to see "Once Upon a Matttress" at the Mason Middle School on March 21-23.
"If you thought you knew the story of The Princess and the Pea, you may be in for a walloping surprise! Did you know, for instance, that Princess Winnifred actually swam the moat to reach Prince Dauntless the Drab? Or that Lady Larken's love for Sir Harry provided a rather compelling reason that she reach the bridal altar post haste? Or that, in fact, it wasn't the pea at all that caused the princess a sleepless night? Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. Acting Up has been instrumental in providing opportunities for local youth to be a part of a full feature theatre production complete with hand made costumes, amazing sets, exceptional choreography, and live music. The talented cast of 75 local youth hails from all over Greater Cincinnati. Acting Up is also an all volunteer organization and they tirelessly work to make these shows shine.
Tickets are now on sale ($12). You can purchase these online or at the box office the day of the show. The show will be performed at the Mason Middle School (6370 Mason-Montgomery Rd):
